There has certainly been plenty of top driving talent at Ferrari over the years, but ‘true gentleman’ Peter Collins was regarded as one of the best of them all – until his tragic early demise at the Nurburgring in 1958.


Peter Collins was born on this day in 1931, and his talent behind the wheel of a racing car was matched only by his off-track charisma.
